I recently graduated with an MSc. in Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics from Queen’s University Belfast, where my love for data analytics in healthcare grew. This culminated in my thesis focusing on utilizing artificial neural networks (specifically variational autoencoders) for phenotype discovery in colorectal cancer. This solidified my commitment to learning how merging machine learning aspects with healthcare can enhance patient-centered care. I’m excited about my upcoming internship at ESNEFT NHS because I’m looking forward to being able to apply my academic expertise to industry settings. I’m also interested in learning more about their community and hospital initiatives and contributing to their impactful work.
